今天又是一个赶车的一天，要先开车去德国的慕尼黑把租的车还了，然后在那里坐5个多小时的火车去意大利的维罗纳。我俩计划早上7点半要收拾好离开民宿。可是昨晚喝多了，起床太困难了，头晕浑身不舒服😂😂 不过，没办法，还是要继续赶路！

Today is another travel day and first we have to drive to Munich, Germany to drop off the rental car and then take a five hour train trip to Verona, Italy. We had planned to pack up and leave the apartment at 7:30 in the morning but I drank too much last night for a birthday celebration and getting up was difficult … 😂😂 However, no choice, we still have to continue on the road!

到慕尼黑顺利地还完车，登上了火车，发现这个火车的座位设计的太不解人意了，4个座位是两两面对的，这样坐5个多小时太不舒服了，幸好我和PJG是面对面，还可以伸伸腿。旅行就是这样，不会时时都那么顺心顺意。我俩座位旁边的一家四口刚上车看到座位后也是非常的不高兴，尤其是那个二儿子，看起来大概有14岁的样子，满脸气愤，抱怨他的妈妈没有做好订座位的工作，还一直威胁要下车，也真是佩服他，一路几个小时都保持着生气的状态。我怀疑我小时候是不是有时候也是这样啊？

After a successful drive to Munich on the Autobahns, we boarded our train and discovered we were seated in a four seat configuration. The four seats were faced in pairs, so it was not that comfortable to sit for more than five hours staring at a stranger. Fortunately, PJG and I faced each other and I could stretch out my feet on PJG and sleep 😂😂. Travel is sometimes like this, not always comfortable. The family of four that were next to us got on the train and saw the seats. They were also very unhappy, especially the second son, who looked like he was 14 years old. He was angry and complained that his mother did not chose good seats. He complained loudly and threatened to get off the train, and stayed angry for many hours. I wonder if I was like him when I was a child.

不过看看沿途的风景5个多小时也挺快地过去了。火车从德国出发，要经过奥地利，然后到达意大利。沿途经过很多高山，高山里的小村庄，绿油油的庄稼地，到了意大利后就看到大片大片的葡萄园，不愧是红酒盛产国。这勾起了我小时候坐火车回老家大海林的记忆，可惜的是，这里没有沿途停车时来火车下卖好吃的当地人。记得小时候坐火车，也是硬座，车窗可以被推下，沿途到一个车站停车的时候，当地的人就会拎着小筐，在火车下面叫卖，兜售当地的一些小吃，比如沟帮子烧鸡，或是新鲜的黄瓜和水果，现在想想真是愉快的经历。

下了火车打车到了民宿住处，这还是我俩第一次打车，一般坐公共交通系统就非常方便，因为我俩的民宿是在一个山坡上，拿着行李在炎热的气候里走山坡路，会很受折磨，所以决定打车。民宿的主人，一对老夫妻，非常热情，喜欢笑，说话时喜欢打手势，典型的我对意大利人的印象。他们不怎么会说英文，大部分时间在说意大利语，中间夹杂着一些英文，给我俩讲解民宿的一些规则，PJG感觉好像能听懂意大利语似的，还对答如流的，哈哈 😄 应该是假装的 😂 这个民宿很漂亮，环境非常好，屋内有很多很有意思的摆设，主人还养了好多花，而且这里有空调！

Anyway, we had more than five hours to enjoy the scenery through the Italian alps along the way. The train departed from Germany and then passed through Austria and then on to Italy. Along the way, there are many huge mountains, small villages nestled in the high hills, vast green fields, and we knew we were in Italy when we started to see large expanses of wine vineyards. This trip evoked the memory of my childhood when I was a young and rode the train back to my hometown to visit. But unfortunately on this train, there are no locals who come to the train to sell delicious food when the train stops at stations along the way. I remember when I was young riding the train, it was often an uncomfortable hard seat. But at the stations the window could be pushed down. and the locals would pick up small baskets and sell them to passengers on the train. They would sell various local snacks, such specially cooked chicken or fresh cucumbers and fruits; it’s a pleasant experience to recall about it now.

We arrived in Verona and got off the train and took a taxi to the AirBnb. This was our first time to get a taxi. Usually it was more convenient to take the public transportation system. But this time because our apartment is on a hillside, dragging the luggage on busses and climbing the hillside in the hot climate seemed crazy. The owner of the home, an old couple, is very enthusiastic, likes to laugh, likes to gesture when talking, typical of my impression of the Italians. They speak very little English and speak Italian most of the time. There are a few English words sprinkled in the middle so we get the jest of the conversation. They tell us about some rules of B&B. PJG seems to understand Italian. Haha😄 but he was just pretending. The house is very beautiful, the environment is very good, there are many interesting decorations in the house, the owner still has a lot of flowers, and there is air conditioning!
