计划旅行的时候,我和PJG就约定好了每到一个城市,都要去吃一顿中餐,比较一下口味的变化。这个帖子用来总结这次旅行中尝试过的每一个中国饭店。

吃在马德里(Eating in Madrid)

我俩现在已经结束了2个多月的旅行到家了,总结一下在马德里的吃货感受吧。我在其他一个记录中提及过西班牙的小菜塔帕斯,PJG非常期待到了马德里后可以尝试不同的塔帕斯,可惜让人失望的是,我俩根本没有找到理想中的塔帕斯,要么就是很单调的火腿拼盘之类的,要么就是不好吃,和我俩在温哥华吃过的塔帕斯相距甚远,失望啊~~~ 😁😁

西班牙人吃饭还真晚,很多饭店午饭时间下午1点开门,晚饭8点或9点才开门。

这是一个市场,里面都是小摊位卖塔帕斯之类的小菜,大部分都是海鲜类的,因为我俩要去对面的川菜吃午饭,所以我只尝了两个,看着挺有模样的,但是其实没什么味道。

We have now finished The Big Trip and are safely back at home, so I’m summing up the experience with food in Madrid. I mentioned looking forward to trying Spanish tapas in another post. PJG was very much looking forward to trying different tapas in Madrid, but unfortunately, we didn’t find the ideal tapas at all. We found either a monotonous ham platter or small plates of food that was not good. It’s a far cry from the Tapas we have eaten in Vancouver. Very disappointing~~~ 😁😁

吃在意大利 (Eating in Italy)

意面,披萨,披萨,意面,这就是吃在意大利的总结 😂 😂 😂 😂

我俩去过的或者是路过的很多很多饭店都是基本在卖同样的东西,尤其是罗马,真是太没有创意了,可能因为都是针对游客的,但是哪里是本地人吃饭的地方呢?我俩就一个也没见到吗? 更糟糕的是,意大利的意面还没有我在萨尔茨堡吃的好吃,特别单调,意面里的配菜花样少,量也少,基本就是吃面和酱,毫无诚意可言。当然你可以说那可以点其他的主菜啊,问题是除了意面,披萨,其他的主菜,也就是意大利叫的Secondi, 基本的选择就是一块牛排,猪排,羊排,或是一块鱼肉,几个虾,这类的配一点儿蔬菜,或是薯条的配菜,这类Secondi没什么不好,但也没什么惊喜可言,都是很平庸的味道。

今天离开了萨尔茨堡,正好有时间可以总结一下在奥地利的吃货感受。因为在维也纳的时间比较短暂,也没感觉有什么值得纪录的,所以加上萨尔茨堡,就合并为一个了。奥地利的食物味道还好,没有什么浓烈的鲜明的味道系统,但是也不算是很清淡。他们应该是喜欢吃肉,和德国的食物差不多,有香肠,猪肘子,酸菜什么的。

同样在比利时也没吃到什么惊艳的东西 😅  比利时华夫比较有名,还有就是比利时人坚信薯条是他们发明的,所以这里点餐给配的薯条!不像其它地方,配的是面包。 这里还比较流行吃青口贝,我俩没吃,因为我对青口贝并不感兴趣,而且看起来觉得非常没有味道 😁

Again there’s nothing to be surprised about in Belgium. Belgian Waffles are pretty famous and Belgian people believe that French fries are their invention, so many meals come with French fries unlike everywhere else, where bread is served. It is also popular to eat mussels, however we did not try them because first of all I am not interested in mussels, and it really looked very tasteless 😅

吃在巴黎 (Eating in Paris)

离开了巴黎,现在已经达到了比利时根特的民宿住处,简单的总结一下在巴黎的吃。

We’ve left Paris and have now reached the B&B residence in Ghent, Belgium. I had planned to simply sum up the food in Paris. Turns out, it is easier said than done 🙂

我想问~~是谁~~给了“法国大餐”那么高的名声的? 我已经尽力给法国菜一个公正的接受品尝的机会了,可是为什么我俩的感觉是没~有~味~道~??  PJG和我尝试了两次正宗的而且总是坐满了人的法国饭店的晚餐,两次的经验都是 “为什么菜没有什么味道?” 甚至似乎连盐都缺失? 总之,或许是因为我们没找到好的餐厅,或许是我俩已经被重庆火锅和味道超级丰富的泰国菜给毁掉了,我对“法国大餐”失去了兴趣 😂  PJG似乎也没有很享受他的法国餐,但是他还是不会放弃法国大餐的。

I want to ask this~ ~ Who is the one ~ ~ that gave the “French” such a high reputation for cooking? Granted, we never ate at a high end French restaurant nor even real “French Food” but I have tried my best to give French food a chance to accept the taste, but why do we feel that there is … no taste there!? We tried two supposedly authentic dinners at French restaurants that were always full of people. The experience twice was, “Why doesn’t the food have any taste?” It even seems to be missing salt! In short, perhaps because we didn’t find a good restaurant and maybe we have been forever ruined by awesome Chongqing hot pot and super-rich Thai food but I’ve lost all interest in the “French feast”. PJG didn’t seem to enjoy it either (nb but he tried his best to pretend), but he still won’t give up on the French myth.

吃在英国 (Eating in England)

The United Kingdom, or London itself, does not seem to have much local food, but here you can taste different restaurants around the world because there are immigrants from all over the world. Before the tour departed, we were full of expectation of food everywhere, but after coming to various places, due to various factors, such as long distances, such as the passing of time, such as fatigue, etc., PJG and I are basically close to where Where to solve, the end of the long journey to tasting has disappeared. In short, this time in the UK, the most we eat is the famous fish and chips, deep-fried food is really unrequited. Some of the food we have tasted.

英国,或是伦敦本身好像没有什么特别多的本地食物,这里倒是可以品尝到世界各地的不同餐饮,因为这里有来自世界各地的移民。旅游出发之前,我俩对各地的美食充满了期待,但是到了各个地方以后,由于各种因素,比如路途遥远,比如时间已过,比如疲惫不堪等等,PJG和我基本都是离哪里近就在哪里解决,那种要长途跋涉去品尝的尽头已经消失了 😅 总之,这次的英国之行,我俩吃得最多的就是大名鼎鼎的炸鱼薯条,油炸食品真是百吃不厌啊 😅 下面记载了一些我俩品尝过的美食。

印度菜和中国菜 (Indian and Chinese food)

昨天晚上在一个酒馆里,PJG和一个当地的英国人聊天,我问他伦敦有什么本土的特色小吃或是菜肴,他看似严肃的说蛋炒饭,然后哈哈大笑。他认为伦敦没有什么值得一提的本土美食,如果说是寻找美食,最好的就是尝试来自各个国家不同的菜系,因为伦敦是这样一个集合世界各地人的大都市。他说的很有道理哦.

Last night at a pub, we were chatting with a local Englishman and I asked what he considers a local special dish in London – he seemed serious when exclaiming, “egg fried rice”, and then we laughed. He felt that there is no real local food in London to mention, and said that if we are to look for food, the best thing to do is to try different cuisines from various countries, because London is such a metropolis that it brings together people from all over the world.

市场午饭 – Lunch at Market Hall

今天中午原本要去Hakaniemi市场,吃那里一个摊位有名的三文鱼汤。可是到了地方才发现原来的那个两层的市场正在进行重建改建,摊位搬到了旁边的一个市场里。转了两圈没有找到卖三文鱼汤的那个摊位,不过找到了一家只卖三款汤的摊位。看起来顾客都是当地人。我和PJG每个人点了一个汤,餐馆提供免费的无限量的面包。

We were going to the Hakaniemi market today for lunch to eat the famous salmon soup from a stall there. However, when we arrived at the place, we found that the original two-story market was being renovated, and the stall was moved to a nearby market.

集市,午餐和晚餐 – Market Square, Lunch and Dinner

从芬兰城堡回来,刚好停靠在集市港口,看到了具有赫尔辛基代表性的照片。

Back from Suomenlinna, we just docked at the market square and saw this iconic scene of Helsinki as we arrived into the harbor.

集市上很多都是卖给游客的旅游纪念品之类的东西,我和胖金哥并不感兴趣。还有很多卖新鲜水果的摊位,樱桃看起来很诱人😍

Many of the street vendors are souvenirs for tourists (a lot of cruise ships come here) in which we are not interested. There are also lots of fresh fruit stalls, and the cherries look fresh and yummy.😍
