今天是PJG的生日，也是在萨尔茨堡的最后一天，我俩也没有什么特别的生日计划。上午出去的第一站是一个在古城中心的有800多年历史的墓地，PJG的父亲当年也曾来到过这里。墓地里不知道现在都葬的什么人，不过装点的都非常有心意。我俩的萨尔茨堡卡包含了这里的地下墓穴的门票，所以也快速地进去看了一下，这个地下墓穴是凿山而建的，那时的人为了保护墓地真的是大费力气啊。

Today is PJG’s birthday and our last day in Salzburg. We don’t have any special birthday plans other than a special dinner. The first stop was to go out in the morning and visit a cemetery with a history of more than 800 years in the center of the ancient city of Salzburg. PJG’s father had written he had came here that year. I don’t know who is buried there now in the cemetery, but I was very interested in who decorated it. Our Salzburg card contains tickets for the catacombs here, so we quickly went in to have a look. This catacomb was built into the mountain. It guess it takes a lot of hard work to maintain this cemetery.
简单地转完了墓地后，我俩本打算去mirabell花园，然后去坐下午的萨尔茨河游船，可是PJG忽然想到我俩还没开车去这里的著名的湖区呢。很多人都告诉我俩这里的湖景非常美，来到这里不能不去啊。所以就决定不去做游船，开车去Gilgen湖，大概只有40多分钟的车程。
回民宿取车的路上，在米拉贝尔宫的花园停留了一下，这个宫殿和花园修建于1606年，电影“音乐之声”里的一些著名场景就在这个花园里。
After our brief visit to the cemetery, we planned to go to the Mirabell gardens and then take a cruise on the Salz River in the afternoon. But at lunch, PJG suddenly realized that we had not visited the famous Lake District. Many people have said that the lakes here are very beautiful. So we decided to forego the cruise and drive to Lake Gilgen instead, which was only about 40 minutes away.
On the way back to the hotel to pick up the car, we stopped at the garden of the Mirabell Palace. The palace and garden were built in 1606, and some famous scenes from the movie, “The Sound of Music” were filmed in this garden.
Gilgen湖确实很美，湖水的颜色是碧绿的，被周围的青山环绕着，帆船，快艇，和戏水的人享受着炎炎夏日的凉爽湖水，很是惬意。不过今天是特别热，高达31摄氏度，在湖边游走了一会儿我俩就感觉要被融化了。找了一家在湖边的咖啡厅，我俩坐在阴凉处喝了杯咖啡，吃了一块民宿主人给我俩推荐的萨尔茨堡巧克力蛋糕。天气一热，感觉就没什么心情游玩和拍照片了 😂😅
The Gilgen Lake is really beautiful. The color of the lake is turquoise green and is surrounded by lush green hills, people sailing, speedboats towing skiers, and everyone enjoying the cool summer waters. It is very pleasant. But today was particularly hot, up to 88, and as we walked around the lake for a while we felt like we were going to melt. We found a coffee shop by the lake and sat in the shade and having coffee and a piece of Salzburg chocolate cake that had been recommended by the owner. Unfortunately, when the weather is hot, I don’t feel I have the mood enjoy taking photos.
开车回到民宿放下车，我俩又步行去了老城，赶去听6点的Gilckenspiel的敲钟声，因为PJG的父亲在他当年的旅游日志中写道，他曾听过这个钟声。PJG觉得能在69年后也听到同一个钟曲是一件很有意思的事情。
Later we drove back to the apartment and dropped off the car. We then walked back into Old Town and rushed to catch the Glockenspiels’ bell ringing at 6 o’clock. Apparently, PJG’s father wrote in his travel journal that he had heard the bells and PJG thought it would be interesting to hear the same bells 69 years later.
听完钟声后，我俩去了Hotel Stein的7楼顶的饭店／酒吧。我俩在刚到民宿的时候，民宿主人就向我俩推荐这里，说是看萨尔茨堡城市景色的最佳点。所以我俩打算在7点预订的PJG的生日晚餐之前，在那里喝一杯饮料，看看景色。结果上去之后，他们的服务太慢了，等了40多分钟，眼看7点预订时间就到了，我俩还要花10分钟走到另一个预订的饭店，没时间再等了，我俩就不好意思地偷偷摸摸地溜走了 😂
然后整个晚上就是在一个也是景色甚佳的饭店顶楼吃PJG的生日大餐, 这个会在吃在奥地利里纪录的。希望PJG过了一个愉快的生日。
After listening to the bell, which frankly weren’t that exciting, we went to the restaurant/bar on the 7th floor of Hotel Stein. The AirBnB owner had said that we should go to the top of the hotel, saying that it is the best spot to see the city of Salzburg. So we planned to have a drink first and then go for PJG’s birthday dinner at 7pm. But the service at this Hotel was extremely slow and after waiting for more than 40 minutes with no drink showing up, it was time to leave to make our 7pm reservation. We had to spend 10 minutes to get to the restaurant and didn’t have time to wait there any longer. We quickly and slyly snuck out of the bar and raced down the elevator.
Then for three hours we had a delicious dinner celebrating PJG’s birthday on the top floor of a restaurant with a great view. I will blog about this from Verona. I hope PJG had a good birthday that night (n.b. He did)
今天的纪录有点儿像流水账，因为做的事情比较散。也是因为我俩现在其实是在去Verona的火车上，5个多小时的火车，找点儿事情做 😂😂
