2022年12月3日，星期六，南美洲之旅第十七天 – Day 17 of the South America Trip

早上被地震叫醒了，我感觉床在晃，一开始以为PJG在动，转身看他，他没动，一看床上面的吊灯也在晃，马上知道这是地震，立刻叫醒PJG，我俩站到了门框下面的时候，地震已经结束了，随即网上查到了是发生在瓦尔帕莱索附近海域里的4.6级地震。

I was woken up by the earthquake this morning! I felt the bed shaking and at first I thought PJG was moving. I turned to look at him, but he was still. When I saw the chandelier above our bed swaying, I knew it was an earthquake. I woke up PJG immediately and when we went to stand under the door frame,

the earthquake was already over. Later we found on the Internet that it was a 4.6-magnitude earthquake that had occurred in the sea off Valparaíso.

这个小海滨城市因其大量的公园和绿地而被称为花园城市，在我俩看来，这是一个没有什么特别的城市，很安静，有度假圣地的要素-海滩，但是这里的海景真的无法跟希腊的相提并论。当时决定把民宿订在这里是因为看到网上说瓦尔帕莱索不是很安全。我俩今天轻松地徒步在城区转悠了一下，去Quinta Vergara公园的时候，被告知那个著名的歌手瑞奇·马丁明天要来这个公园演出，现在在做准备，所以公园今天关闭。下午四点去了一家酒吧看阿根廷和澳大利亚的最站，真是一场精彩的比赛。

This small seaside city is known as the Garden City because of its large number of parks and green spaces. In our opinion, it is a city with nothing special. It is quiet and has the elements of a resort-beach town, but the sea views here are really unremarkable. Can’t compare at all with Greece. We stayed here because Valparaiso is on steep hills and apparently not safe at night. Today, we took a leisurely stroll around the city on foot. When we went to go into one of the parks, Quinta Vergara, we were told that the famous singer Ricky Martin would be coming to the park to perform tomorrow, and that they were making preparations – anyway the park is closed today. We watched the USA game at a restaurant for lunch and then at 4pm we went to a bar to watch Argentina vs Australia, what a fantastic match.

轻松的一天就这样地过去了，明天是在智利的最后一天，晚上的飞机就回家啦。

The relaxing day passed like this, and tomorrow is our last day in South America. We will fly home late in the evening.
