The past two days we’ve been mostly relaxing so there hasn’t been much content to blog about. It’s been quite hot so we mostly just strolled around the area in the late afternoons as it cooled off.
We originally had big plans to take the subway to the port, but it was just too hot and we were too lazy to go. After doing our laundry again and having PJG’s personal barber cut his hair, the rest of the time was just eating and drinking.

This place has been one of the best B&B, great location and convenient to everything. The basement also had various convenient facilities. We walked through an area with many Chinese clothing wholesale companies – it reminded me of my experience when I ran dress shop in Beijing.5月11号的午餐，PJG的可怜的汉堡，我的是前一天晚上打包的晚饭. May 11th lunch: PJG’s pitiful burger, my dish was leftovers from dinner the night before. Just a simple lunch.5月10日的晚餐，就在民宿对面的饭店. Dinner on May 10th: at the Maupos Ratos restaurant directly opposite our B&B.腌鲱鱼和大葱，很好吃，想起了在哥本哈根吃到的一款开放式三明治Smørrebrød. Pickled herring with green onions, delicious – reminds me of the open faced Smørrebrød sandwiches, in Copenhagen.鸡肉炖西红柿洋葱 A chicken and tomato dish5月11日午餐，找了一家小店. For lunch on May 11, we found a real hole-in-the-wall greek place called Bouloukos Kebab, pretty good and cheap!一个猪肉，一个鸡肉，2.5欧元一个，经济实惠好吃. Pork gyros, Chicken souvlaki, 2.5 euros each, affordable and delicious5月11日，我俩回到上次来雅典经常来的一个酒吧，看起来和6个月前一模一样. On the 11th we went back to the Kanaki bar we used to frequent on our last visit to Athens and it looked exactly the same as it was six months ago5月11日的晚餐，目标是找一个有乐队演出的饭店，我俩一般的吃饭时间是7-8点之间，比其他人大概早了2两个小时，很多饭店都没开门或是活动都还没开始. For dinner on May 11, our goal was to find a restaurant with live music. We usually eat around 7-8, which is about 2 hours earlier than typical greek people. So, many restaurants look closed or have very few people.上次来这个乐队也在这里表演. This little band also performed here the last time we were in Athens.好吃的沙拉. A delicious salad一个传统的派，一般般，太干了. A traditional pie filled with Fennel, so-so, too dry. Only ate half.烤鱿鱼，这个鱿鱼非常大. Grilled squid – a very big squid!最后一个夜晚，最后一次在阳台上看卫城. The last night, the last view of the Acropolis from our balcony, will we return?
After five days of mostly relaxing in Athens, we hope to have built up enough energy to start the second half of our journey. The next destination is Malta, the tenth smallest country in the world. Really looking forward to it!
I like all the wall murals. I’ve seen some cities in the US with them and it always makes the cities more interesting, but these in Greece are more elaborate and sophisticated. Your restaurants look inviting and relaxing, much better to have little crowds than very packed.
I love the photo of you two on your balcony with the lit-up Acropolis. A wonderful place to relax in the evenings. You will vividly remember your 2nd visit to Athens because of it.
Zhaoyang, I need to remember to ask you, next time we are together, to tell me about running a dress shop in Beijing.
