Drinks in Santiago 圣地亚哥的鸡尾酒

虽然在圣地亚哥没有吃到什么特别好吃的智利菜,但是圣地亚哥的饮料和鸡尾酒之类还真好喝。

Although Chilean dishes are not particularly impressive, the drinks and cocktails in Santiago are really delicious.

第一款是一种传统的智利夏季饮料,通常可以在到处都是各种街头小摊贩处买到,叫做Mote con Huesillos,没找到中文名字,甜甜的蜜汁水里有煮熟的桃干,软软糯糯的,底部是一种去壳的谷物,很好喝。那个桃干吃起来很像我小时候很喜欢吃的桃罐头,但是因为有一个烘干的过程,桃的口感更结实一些,我很喜欢这个饮品,便宜好喝,又有营养。

The first one is a traditional Chilean summer drink, which can usually be bought from various street vendors everywhere. It is called Mote con Huesillos. I can’t find the Chinese name. There are boiled dried peaches in the sweet honey juice. Soft and glutinous, the bottom is a kind of hulled grain, which is delicious. The dried peach tastes very similar to the canned peaches I liked when I was a child, but because of the drying process, the taste of the peaches is firmer. We really enjoyed this drink. It is cheap, delicious, and nutritious.

第二款是一款鸡尾酒,叫做皮斯科酸酒,是来自秘鲁的一款鸡尾酒,据说智利版的有些区别,基本组成是皮斯科酒,加酸橘汁,甜味剂,蛋清。喝起来酸酸甜甜,我很喜欢。

The second is a cocktail called Pisco Sour, which is a cocktail originated in Peru. It’s similar to a whiskey sour. It is said that the Chilean version is somewhat different. The basic composition is Pisco, with lime juice, sweetener, and egg white. It tastes sour and sweet, I like it very much.

第三款不能不提智利的红酒。据说智利已经成为一个红酒酿酒的热门地方,这里拥有适合葡萄酒的理想气候,因为有太平洋和洪堡海流中获得的冷却效应。

The third must mention Chilean red wine. It is said that Chile has become a popular place for red wine making. It has an ideal climate for wine because of the cooling effect obtained by the Pacific Ocean and the Humboldt Current.

我俩点了一瓶,感觉还不错,我不是红酒专家,根本尝不出来智利红酒和加州红酒有什么区别 – The two of us ordered a bottle, and it was pretty good. I’m not a wine expert, and I can’t taste the difference between Chilean red wine and California red wine.

第四款是一种鸡尾酒,叫做Terremoto, 是一个传统的智利鸡尾酒。Terremoto这个单词也是地震的意思,是因为它是在 1985 年智利地震后发明的。喝起来是一种甜甜的,像饮料一样的,上面一层是冰激淋,没留神就会很快喝醉了。

The fourth is a cocktail called Terremoto, which is a traditional Chilean cocktail. The word Terremoto also means earthquake because it was invented after the Chilean earthquake in 1985. It tastes sweet, like a drink, with ice cream on top, and you will get drunk quickly if you don’t pay attention.
