In the morning, I went to the laundromat to get our clothes washed, and will pick them up tomorrow. Then I went to the pharmacy to buy some antidiarrheal medicine and the supermarket to buy mineral water and apple juice for PJG. After that, I went to Chinatown, which is a very small little Chinatown with nothing special, several supermarkets, and many small shops selling cheap Chinese crap. Today it is still scorching hot, and a day for wandering in the sun with my bear alone.

After lunch, I took the bus to see the famous landmark called “Floralis Genérica”, which is a 20-meter-high, high tech sculpture standing on the Plaza Naciones Unidas. It is made of stainless steel and aluminum and weighs 18 tons. This steel flower is a mobile sculpture controlled by a hydraulic system and photoelectric cells. There are six petals in total. The petals open during the day, and automatically open and close according to the time of day. When the flowers close at night, the interior of the flower glows red. When I went to see it, the flowers petals were not fully open. I have seen many pictures of the flower in full bloom on the Internet.

在大太阳下走了两个多小时，终于回到民宿的空调房了，又去超市买了一些矿泉水，水果，鸡腿和毛巾，给那个病的翻译煮了新的鸡汤，我点了一份意大利面做晚饭。今天就这样愉快地结束了。

After walking under the sun for more than two hours, I finally returned to the air-conditioned apartment. PJG still had a fever and still had frequent diarrhea. I went to the supermarket to buy some more chicken legs, mineral water, fruit and towels (don’t ask). I cooked a new chicken soup for the sick translator and ordered a linguini pasta for my dinner. It was definitely a more enjoyable day for me than for PJG. .

By day two in the evening, PJG’s temperature had come down to 99 (37.2 c) and he was starting to feel a little better. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
