Saturday, May 28, 2022. Day 40 of the trip.

本来某人把这次的旅行叫做40天40夜，英文中有特殊的意义，中文翻译起来就没有什么故事，总之第40天无法避免地到来了，今天是这次旅行的最后一天。

Originally, someone called this trip “40 days and 40 nights.” There is a biblical reference in English, but I have no related story in Chinese. But in any case, the 40th day inevitably came, and today is the last day of our trip.

2022年5月27日，星期五，此次旅行的第39天

Friday, May 27, 2022. Day 39 of the trip.

本来今天计划去高迪的另一个设计“桂尔公园”去游览，没想到早上网上买票竟然只有下午4点以后的时间段，只能选择明天去了。今天就打算轻松一些，跟着里克·史蒂夫斯的“巴塞罗那城市徒步游览”路线，再进行一次能学习更多信息的徒步。里克·史蒂夫斯是一位美国旅行作家、作家、活动家和电视名人，他有一系列的欧洲旅行的视频和图书产品，其中包括很多著名城市的徒步游览。一共90多分钟的游览，一边走入大街小巷，一边听他讲解历史和背后的故事，还真是收获不少。

Today, we had originally planned to visit “Park Güell”, another one of Gaudi’s designs, but tickets were only available after 4pm! So we choose to go tomorrow instead.

Thursday, May 26, 2022. Day 38 of the trip.

今天是向著名的西班牙建筑师安东尼·高迪致敬的一天。高迪在巴塞罗那有很多建筑，我俩步行去圣家堂的路上去看了其他两个高迪建筑。

Today was a day to pay tribute to the famous Spanish architect, Antoni Gaudí, who built many of the iconic buildings in Barcelona. We left our Apartment and walked a path to the Sagrada Familia passing by several other Gaudí buildings.

今天天晴啦，早上快11点了才出门，先去酒店楼顶的平台上看了一圈，可以看到远处的那个举世闻名的圣家大教堂。这次先不打算去圣家大教堂，等5月份回来的时候再去。然后在哥特区的又逛了逛，看到了昨天没有看到的一些景色。

It’s finally sunny today. We didn’t leave until after 11 when we headed up to the roof of our hotel to take a look around. From there we could see the world-famous Sagrada Familia in the distance. Unfortunately, given our shortened visit, we don’t plan to go there this time, we’ll wait until we come back in May. Later we strolled around the Gothic Quarter.

睡到了下午两点多，我俩强迫自己，终于还是爬起床来，去所在的哥特区逛逛。哥特区是巴塞罗那的老城区，遍布着狭窄的鹅卵石街道和高层的古建筑，从1895年到1904年，毕加索在哥特区生活和工作过。

After our long exhausting trip, we slept until after two in the afternoon and had to force ourselves to finally get out of bed and go out for a walk in the Gothic Quarter.
